This Privacy Policy describes how Awecode Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the Trivia Quiz application (the “App”) on different devices.

Trivia Quiz does not require accounts, and we do not operate a Trivia Quiz backend that receives your personal data. Question content is fetched from the third-party Open Trivia Database. Preferences and stats stay on your device.

2.1 Information stored only on your device

The App stores preferences, stats, and a session token locally (for example via on-device storage such as SharedPreferences), including:

• Last quiz selection (category, difficulty, question type, and number of questions)

• Score history for recent games (up to 30 entries), including score, category, difficulty, duration, and when you played

• An Open Trivia Database session token used to reduce repeated questions

This information stays on your device. We do not transmit it to our servers because the App has no feature backend for that purpose.

Uninstalling the App, or clearing the App’s data through your device settings, typically deletes this local data.

2.2 Information we do not collect

We do not collect or request:

• Name, email address, phone number, or postal address (except if you email us voluntarily)

• Account credentials

• Precise or approximate location

• Contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or other device sensors

• Advertising identifiers for targeting

• Payment or purchase information (the App has no in-app purchases in the current version)

2.3 Permissions

The App requests:

• Internet — to fetch questions and categories from Open Trivia Database, to load certain fonts via Google Fonts, and to open linked pages (for example our website) in a browser or other app.

The App does not request notification, location, camera, microphone, or contacts permission.

Without internet access, the App cannot load questions. Local preferences and previously stored stats remain on the device.

2.4 Internet access

The App uses network connectivity for:

• Fetching quiz categories and questions from Open Trivia Database (opentdb.com). That service may receive your quiz request parameters (such as category, difficulty, type, and amount) and standard technical data (such as IP address and user-agent), processed according to Open Trivia Database’s own practices.

• Opening this Privacy Policy (or other linked pages) in a browser

• Loading certain fonts via the Google Fonts service used by the App’s UI toolkit (device IP address and standard request metadata may be processed by Google according to Google’s privacy policy)

We do not operate a Trivia Quiz user-data cloud for the current version.

3. How we use information

On-device settings and stats are used solely to:

• Remember your last quiz selection

• Show your scores and play history in the App

• Reduce repeated questions via the stored Open Trivia Database session token

If you contact us by email, we use the content of your message only to respond to your request.

4. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not share App preference or stats data with advertisers or analytics vendors because we do not collect that data from the App.

Third parties may process limited technical data when you:

• Fetch questions from Open Trivia Database (see §2.4)

• Visit our website or open linked legal pages

• Trigger font loading via Google Fonts (see §2.4)

• Use Google Play distribution platforms (governed by Google’s own policies)

5. Children’s privacy

Trivia Quiz is a general-audience quiz app. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us (for example by emailing us), contact us and we will delete it where applicable.

6. Data retention

• On-device preferences, stats, and session token: retained until you change them, clear App data, or uninstall the App.

• Email correspondence: retained only as long as needed to handle your request and any related legal obligations.

7. Security

Because preferences and stats remain on your device, protection depends largely on your device security (passcode, OS updates, and physical control of the device). We do not operate a Trivia Quiz user-data cloud for the current version.

Question requests are sent to Open Trivia Database over the internet. No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Your choices and rights

You can:

• Change quiz preferences inside the App

• Delete local App data or uninstall the App

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information you have provided to us directly (for example by email), such as access or deletion. To exercise those rights, contact us using the details below.

9. International users

The App may be used worldwide. Question requests are processed by Open Trivia Database. If you contact us, your message may be processed in Nepal or wherever we or our email provider operate.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App’s data practices change (for example if we add analytics, accounts, or advertising in a future version). We will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide in-App or store-listing notice.

If we introduce new data collection, we will revise this policy before or when that functionality ships.
