PRIVACY POLICY
App: SepTitles
This Privacy Policy describes how Awecode Solutions Pvt. Ltd. ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the SepTitles mobile application (the "App") on Android.
SepTitles helps you search and download subtitles for movies and TV shows using your own OpenSubtitles account credentials. Subtitle search and download are provided through the third-party OpenSubtitles API. The App itself does not operate a backend that stores your personal data.

2. Information we process
2.1 Information stored only on your device
The App stores information locally on your device (for example via on-device storage such as SharedPreferences and secure storage), including:
- Your OpenSubtitles access token (kept in the device secure storage to keep you signed in)
- Your OpenSubtitles username, used to show your profile name
- Metadata of downloaded subtitles (e.g. title, language, and local file path) shown in your download history
- Your saved API key, used to contact the OpenSubtitles API
This information stays on your device. We do not operate an SepTitles account server that receives your OpenSubtitles password.
Uninstalling the App, or clearing the App's data through your device settings, typically deletes this local data.
2.2 Information we do not collect
We do not collect or request:
- Your OpenSubtitles password beyond the moment it is used to log you in
- Precise or approximate location
- Contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or health/sensor data
- Advertising identifiers for targeting
- Payment or purchase information (the App has no in-app purchases in the current version)
2.3 Permissions
The App requests Internet access, which is required for its core function of searching and downloading subtitles through the OpenSubtitles API.
If you choose to match a local video file, the App reads only what is needed to compute the OpenSubtitles hash and find matching subtitles. The full file is not uploaded to us.
2.4 Third-party services
SepTitles communicates with OpenSubtitles.com to log you in, search, and download subtitles. Requests are sent using your authenticated session and our app consumer key, and are governed by OpenSubtitles' own privacy and terms.

3. How we use information
Information is used solely to:
- Authenticate you with your OpenSubtitles account (login)
- Search, match, and download subtitle files
- Show your profile name and local download history
- Improve app reliability and error handling
If you contact us by email, we use the content of your message only to respond to your request.

4. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share data with advertisers or analytics vendors because we do not collect that data from the App.
Requests necessary for subtitle search, matching, and download are sent to OpenSubtitles (a third party) using your authenticated session and our app consumer key, as described in Section 2.4.

5. Children's privacy
SepTitles is a general-audience subtitle app. It is not directed at users under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Do not use the App if you are under the age required by applicable law.

6. Data retention
- On-device preferences and history: retained until you change them, clear App data, or uninstall the App.
- Email correspondence: retained only as long as needed to handle your request and any related legal obligations.

7. Security
Your login token is kept in the device's secure storage, and your password is not stored. Because most App data remains on your device, protection depends largely on your device security (passcode, OS updates, and physical control of the device). We do not operate an SepTitles user-data cloud for the current version. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

8. Your choices and rights
You can:
- Log out at any time from Settings to clear your stored login
- Clear App data or uninstall the App to delete local data
- Manage your OpenSubtitles account and preferences on opensubtitles.com
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information you have provided to us directly (for example by email), such as access or deletion. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

9. International users
The App may be used worldwide. If you contact us, your message may be processed in Nepal or wherever we or our email provider operate.

10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App's data practices change (for example if we add accounts, analytics, or advertising in a future version). We will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide in-App or store-listing notice. If we introduce new data collection, we will revise this policy before or when that functionality ships.
